One of the challenges of UTV driving in the midwest and northeast US is the constant chage in weather even during the same day. EMP’s flip-down windshield allows you to flip down your windshield in the afternoon when the sun comes out. Constructed of 1/4” thick hard coated polycarbonate, this windshield is both scratch resistant and nearly unbreakable. An aluminum hinge means this quality windshield will last for years. “Patent Pending” Fast Straps help to hold the windshield in place and secure it to the hood when you decide to fold it down. The upper section of the windshield is made using tinted polycarbonate, allowing it to act as a sun visor as well. It can easily be removed in seconds, just remove the thumbscrews. You simply cannot compare this unit to the windshields made of acrylic that can crack, or basic polycarbonate scratches.
EMP also has a great laminated glass windshield for the RZR XP1000, very similar to the kind of windshield you would find on an automobile. The metal frame is a powder coated 14 gauge steel frame with the side edges are not bent and hemmed over to a smooth edge. The included windshield wiper can be hand operated from both the driver and the passenger seat. This windshield will fit the factory top as well as and many other aftermarket tops, including all of the roofs EMP makes. There are louvers carved into the bottom, letting just enough airflow through to prevent a vacuum. Like most EMP windshields, the laminated glass windshield comes with EMP’s patent-pending “Quick Connect Windshield Clamps”. Removing this heavy duty windshield is as simple as removing six thumbscrews.
