No matter how well the message and sounds are crafted, they will fail if they do not resonate with the target audience. The age range, interests, salary ranges and location of the people who make up the target audience should be taken into careful consideration when creating the radio commercial. A commercial that uses a lot of modern slang and loud music may appeal to teenagers, but it is unlikely to succeed as an advertisement aimed at retirees.
